Sew excited!

Okay the title is a little cheesy but I am so excited about my latest purchase!
I finally got a sewing machine yay!. I have been debating getting one for a long
time (my mom being a great influence, as a sewing machine is apparently a definite
must in a girl's life).I just didn't know if I would use it enough, as I don't really make
any clothes. I have tried, but everyting just turns out crooked and terribly disproportioned.
Not a succes. But I was offered a deal at work that I just could not pass up! I only paid about 20
dollars!! You just can't find a new machine for that price.

It's the Toyota JFS18. It is a special Jeans edition, but it does all the other stitches
just fine. Now I just have to learn how to work this thing...
Any tips?

Storage solution

Everyone always struggles to store their many scrapgoodies and find good storage solutions.
One of those great ideas is the clip-it-up tower that I've seen in many hauls. However, I
simply don't have the counter space or the money to buy such an expensive item.
I wanted to display my letterstickers and other stickers so they are both visable and have them within my reach. I like having these items close when Im crafting so I searched for a more inexspensive solution. And I found it! And where else but at the greatest store on earth...Ikea!

The rail I believe is from the office section, for around 3 dollars. I secured it under the shelf above my desk and it is just perfect! The clips are actually for curtains (also at Ikea, curtain section). They are a little more expensive at 10 dollars a pack, but you do get 24 pieces. (Because they have an opening it's easy to add more )

Hope this idea is useful!

New layout

Another layout today, I am on a roll! I wanted to make a nice, romantic page of my boyfriend
and me when we were visiting his parents in CA. As you can see I love my pink,
one of my favorite colours, seriously I am surrounded by it.... The papers are a mix of Pink Paislee, October Afternoon, SEI and some DCWV cardstock.

First Video

So ,I wanted to try my hand at making videos after watching all the amazing stuff everyone is doing on youtube. I decided to make a haul video because I finally bit the bullet and spend an incredible amount on scrapbook supplies from two online stores (gosh do I wish I lived in the States with a Michael's and Joanns!). The stuff is all from old collections but I am pretty stoked about getting some scrapbooking done with all my new goodies!

Enjoy!

Shimelle's half page challenge

I made this for my first challenge ever over at shimelle's  blog

It is for the half page challenge. I love the idea of giving your eyes some rest and simply concentrating on the patterned paper. In this case it is the summer fun paper from the Pink Paislee Hometown summer collection. Other products used are some paper whimsies from Sassafras; My mind's eye Fine and Dandy paper and a journaling spot from Cosmo Cricket's Salt Air collection.

How adorable are these little doggies together?
